LetÕs say I want to look up the Biceps brachii.
If I misspell the search term, our search engine will automatically find the closest
matching term to whatever you are searching for.
Once you search for a structure, an interface launches that lets you easily navigate through
different media categories such as 3D rendered images, artwork, cadaver dissection photographs,
cross sections, and also Histology.
If you would like to see more in a category, you can click on the see more button.
Here you can view a broader range of images within each category.
By clicking on the image thumbnails in the media browser, the image appears in the media
viewer window.Ê
This allows you to view the image by panning, and zooming.
If the image is a 3D rendering, you can also manually rotate the image to a better angle
to best suite your desired view.
Once you find the best view to meet your criteria, you can then click the download button to
use this image in educational presentations and materials for coursework.
The information panel gives you detailed information on the current structure.
Here you can view different information such as etymology, action, insertion, blood supply, innervation
and more.
There is also a pronunciation tool that will play an audio clip with the correct pronunciation
of the currently selected structure.
Biceps Brachii muscle.
For a complete list of all the structures that are in an image, we have a structural
label key.
You can narrow your search down to a desired structure in this list to get more detailed
information based on that structure.
This will update the information panel with more precise information on that structure.
In addition to our advanced search feature, you can navigate our complete A to Z index
of structures.
Here you can view terms in alphabetical order and click on your desired term to browse desired
information and media.
