Once again, we're standing with Eugene “Darien” Mazaev. The awarding ceremony has just finished. Eugene, you've earned yourself yet another champion title. Can you describe your emotions, please?
Well, there isn't much of emotions as we just keep on winning time after time. It was more exciting to win the first season in Hanover, you know. Nevertheless, the victory is always nice, but our opponents didn't show too much resistance, which would cause a greater effect to that victory-feeling. Anyway, we're happy to win and I think that nobody could be happier than the actual winner.
As you previously mentioned, the semifinal games were indeed tougher, and you have literally crushed SK in the final. What are the reasons for this in your opinion?
The thing is that semifinal games were played for the quota (3 teams will attend the globals) and the finals – for “just” 10k, which is also nice but isn't as much as tense in terms of really willing win it. Also, we have probably overestimated our opponents. Either that or they weren't performing at their best and have let it go.
The three teams who was expected to qualify for the global finals have already made it through: M5, CLG and SK. Now, what do you expect from the globals? How are you going to prepare?
We will make everything possible to perform really well at the global finals, but our true main goal is, of course, top-1.
What are you going to to now? How are you going to celebrate your victory?
We will just take a rest, I think. It's really hard to sit and play all day long against some tough teams, you know. Then we will probably go partying. Nothing too daredevil, ha-ha. Will just hang out, talk and joke.
What would you tell your fans who are really happy to see you win?
I would like to thank all our Russian and also non-Russian fans from all over the world for their support. Thanks to everybody who was cheering for us, even though we do have some haters, too. Nevertheless, we feel the support and it's really important for us.
Yeah, thanks to all M5's fans. I hope we won't disappoint you in the future.
