>> Hi, my name is Anita Randolph,
and I'm a triple major in
the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences,
in animal science, with an emphasis in animal biology,
microbiology and genetics.
My favorite class is the Animal Practicum.
And my second class is the Introduction
to Animal Science,
just because there is a farmer lab
that you go to every week.
And anything that you see in class, you see in lab.
If you see someone delivering a cow,
you actually get to do it in class.
It's so much fun.
So those are my two favorite classes.
I actually palpated a cow,
actually put the long sleeves on
and got to feel around. It was really fun.
And I actually delivered a sheep.
And I helped deliver and process baby pigs.
So that was really fun.
My favorite place in Athens is the botanical gardens.
It's really close to campus, and I love it,
because there are walking trails,
there are running trails, there are places to lay out.
Just get a blanket, lay out and do a picnic.
When I came to college,
I wanted to artificially inseminate tigers,
and that was one of the main reasons I came
to UGA.
The dean of the vet school was actually working
on cheetahs at the time.
So I came to vet school
to be this really out-of-the-box researcher.
And then I just met Dr. Stice,
and he really changed my life in more than one way.
I came into his lab.
He really helped me out.
He was very patient.
And after that, I realized
that stem cell therapy is my passion.
So he completely directed me in the path
where I could see myself being happy
and having my dream job.
So, yes go Dr. Stice! [laughs].
