Hey everybody this is Michael McEvoy. I'd like to talk to you today about gut health.
And I'm very excited to announce that I've created this incredible, just awesome 4.5
hour presentation, a video presentation on gut health and gut function, titled: Understanding
and healing Your Digestive Symptoms and GI Tract: GERD, leaky gut, h pylori and proper
immunity".
This presentation is profound in its ability to communicate some of the most important
underlying causes of gut-related issues today: intestinal toxicity.
We talk about the important relationship between the brain and the gut and the nervous system.
We talk about the primary causative factors of esophogeal reflux disease (GERD), and we
even have a fourth section on strategies and protocols, on what to actually do nutritionally
speaking to address all of these variety of gut-related issues that are plaguing people
today.
So this video that you're about to watch is a summation of some of the key highlights
from that four and a half hour video presentation. Let's take a look.
Eighty percent of the immune system of the body resides in the gut in the form of bacteria
known as gut flora. Healthy gut flora maintains healthy gut functions: proper stool formation,
bacterial balance between various bacterial species, generating B vitamins, as well as
synthesizing Vitamin K2, as well as the synthesis of digestive enzymes.
Your gut is in fact your second brain referred to as your enteric nervous system. Your enteric
nervous system has its own network of neurons and neurotransmitters that think, communicate
and learn independently of your brain.
You have this mucosal barrier. In that mucosal barrier you have your immune defenses. You
have your immunoglobulins and you have your proliferation of the various bacterial species
that make up the mucosal immunity.
Helicobacter pylori, otherwise known as h pylori infection has been demonstrated, its
been proven to cause gastric ulcers, esophageal ulcers, as well as duodenal ulcers. H pylori
is highly associated with GERD and esophageal reflux.
Pancreatin is the second class of digestive enzymes. Pancreatin are pancreatic enzymes,
usually prok-based preparations. They are only effective in alkaline environments such
as the small intestine.
Let's talk about gut repair. Repairing mucosal barriers. What are some of the most effective
strategies for helping us to do this?
