On behalf of Expert Village this is Ian McSwain with Passion Foods in Miami, Florida and today
we're showing you quick and easy Japanese recipes. We're going to cut this pepper up
in I like using like a fairly large pieces of pepper if I'm going to fry them for tempura
so I just cut a couple of them. If you like I usually do it I take the knife and put it
down flat and then just cut this center core out like this if there's any bitterness in
a pepper it's going to be inside of it right here. So I remove any little white on the
inside and these should be about a good size for the vegetable tempura. With the butter
nut squash it's a bit hard to peel you got to really go at it with a peeler because it's
thick skin but and you'll see these green lines in here underneath the skin you can
leave them on if you want I just take them off it's not going to really matter that much
so don't be worry if you have or see these you don't have to peel it below that.
