I purchased this Smart TV because I had this same brand but with a 32 inches display but
I wanted to change it for a bigger one, so I got the 48 inches. It was love at first
sight. The Amazon price is around 100 dollars less than my local Walmart. The packing and
boxing is very secure, comes with two larges foam pieces to protect the TV. When you take
it out of the box, you will need to put the four screws on the stand, very easy to assemble.
It is very easy to program the TV for the first time. You need to have an internet connection
and a Roku account to finish the programming. Once you had installed any updates and apps
to the TV, the menu is easy to understand and access. The TVs interface is very stable,
it doesnt crash or freeze. The led display is 1080 pixels, the quality of the image is
amazing and the sound is clear. The TV has 3 HDMI ports, an AV port, a microphone port
and a 2.0 USB port, making it easier to connect various devices at the same time. The remote
control is the perfect size to fit in one hand and lightweight. I recommend this product
and brand. I have not encounter any trouble at all.
My new Roku TV arrived quickly (less than a day and a half) and in perfect condition.
I had no problems setting up the television, connecting to my wireless network and activating
the TV through Roku. Documentation is thin (others have commented on this) but, with
the quick start guide I had enough information to work with. I was surprised that no HDMI
cable was included as it seems to be the norm to include one, but since I have many of them
it was not an issue for me.
The display is crisp and clean, no pixilation or other visual interference. On screen menu
is very easy to use to adjust brightness, color, tint, etc. Sound is good for a TV,
not amazing, but certainly more than adequate for me. Remote control is simply laid out
and relatively easy to use. Though the purple 4-way button is not labeled, it was simple
to deduce that UP/DOWN controlled channels, the LEFT/RIGHT buttons bring up the channel
list, and sound is controlled by the side buttons familiar to Roku users. I would like
to have seen the remote included that has a built in headphone jack ala the Roku 3.
I connected a powered OTA digital antenna to the coax connecter and the receiver found
over 12 OTA HD channels. I have not come across a receiver that picks up so many channels
so easily before. This was a pleasant surprise.
