Hey there! Um,
I'm just going to show you my everyday kind of makeup that I do.
"Kind of".
And to tell you which products I like to use.
In case you want to do something similar, I guess.
Rather unfortunately this involves showing my face with no makeup on it
To everyone. You poor, poor people. I feel sorry for you.
But you're going to have to deal with that.
I apologise in advance for the horror that lies beneath.
Anyway, using the magic of cinema, I'm going to turn back time a few minutes.
I hope you find this useful...
Urgh, no-makeup-face. How awful. Anyway, um,
I have primer on already.
This is Illamasqua's Matte Primer.
I really like it.
Naturally, after that: Foundation time!
I put that on with a latex sponge.
I use Illamasqua's Rich Liquid Foundation
In "pure white".
And usually mix it with Makeup Forever's HD in "pink"
But it's out of my budget at the moment,
So I'm using this pink tinted one from Rimmel.
Mix those guys together
Now, if you're a guy, I don't recommend using a sponge.
If you have stubble you might tear the sponge, and end up with bits of sponge all over your face.
If you use foundation lighter than your skin colour,
Please, I can't emphasise this enough,
For the love of God,
Do your neck, chest, and ears.
Because if you stop at the jawline, you'll look kinda stupid.
On top of that,
I'm putting this pressed white powder from Laval.
I'm using a dark eyeshadow and blusher brush for contouring.
To find your cheekbones, suck in your face. See where lines ought to be.
I also do my jawline,
I'm not particularly fond of the shape of my jaw.
And if you do this, blend it in under your chin as well.
For eyeliner, I like CCUK's Quick Stroke Liquid Eyeliner.
It's inexpensive and doesn't flake.
It might seem strange, but I'm going to put eyeliner on before eyeshadow.
Start by drawing an outline first.
While that's drying, I'll put on mascara. I'm using a Rimmel one.
Do the top side of your lashes first.
Then underneath, to kind of push them up.
Helps them stand up a little bit.
Do a rolling motion on lower lashes, helps them stand up too.
If you, like me, have shaved off your eyebrows,
It takes practice to draw them on properly.
You may screw it up if you've not done it before.
Start where your eyebrows normally start from. Feel for your brow bone.
I go up and over that bone.
Next! Black eyeshadow. This one's from Maybelline.
I always used MAC "Carbon"
I like this one better.
"Smoky Black"
I cover my whole eyelid,
And go beyond a wee bit.
And smudge it with a finger.
People say "Oh, how do make it look so airbrushed?"
Smudging with a fingertip.
And underneath as well.
So the line is not so harsh.
Some people apply...
Eyeshadow with brushes.
I like the little sponges.
So...now that we've done that,
Lipstick.
I start by using a soft black pencil for lipliner. This is a MAC one.
Secretly...
I draw lipliner quite far from where my lips actually are.
I've got, in my opinion, disappointingly thin lips.
In another video I'll teach you how to deal with disappointingly thin lips.
Black lipstick. This is LA Colours lipstick.
Use any kind that's good. Lime Crime is nice.
Anyway, blot it on and rub it in with a fingertip.
Lastly...
This is black lipgloss
From Rimmel, as well. It's amazing.
You can't image how happy I was to discover this.
One last step! This is something I started using recently.
This is Mehron's Barrier Spray.
Since you've just spent so much time putting makeup on,
Naturally, you want it to last as long as possible.
The idea is, you spray your face with it from a distance.
It keeps makeup on and waterproofs it a wee bit.
So here we go.
Phwoah.
It leaves a bit of a shine.
So when that's dried, stick more powder on top to get rid of shine.
All done. Um,
Thanks. I hope you've found this useful!
Byeeeeeee.
