A unique cinema printing
facility opens in Ukraine.
And now in our country it is possible
for film prints to be created in minutes.
Previously all film copies
have been imported
from abroad to Ukrainian cinemas,
but now we have our own unique
cinema production complex.
Wonders come into life here:
using ultramodern technology
transfers digital formats to Cinema film.
This is the perfect solution
for young filmmakers,
because in just two hours
they can watch their
digital movie files being
projected on film in the cinema.
If any changes are required,
is it possible to re-shoot quickly?
Yes, our facility is
unique, the first system
in operation anywhere in the world.
The old printing factories took at least
several floors of chemistry, equipment,
and many people,
our laboratory takes only a few rooms.
I'm standing here on the background
of this incredible machine, that I
absolutely do not understand,
but I’m happy to hear this sound,
because it is another brick (VICTORIYA MALEKTOROVICH, ACTRESS)
in the building of our film industry,
which we will revive to its former glories.
This is the heart of the factory.
Here is the video data
being stored in digital format.
From here they are sent over the network
to the so-called «dark room».
Next, using the innovative machine,
in total darkness, audio, titles and images
are transferred onto film.
Then the film goes onto the next stage.
Here the film is being processed,
and then placed into this drying tank.
In this tank the film is dried.
The engineers are now ready to remove
the finished film reel. In a few minutes
we can watch the movies, commercials
or teasers in the real cinema.
The whole process is real-time;
if the movie lasts two hours,
it takes the same amount of time for duplication.
The engineers perform the projectionists’ role
as well: they lace up the projector, and — action!
I have been given a very important task:
I have the right to press «Start» button!
Yes?
Everything worked out very well!
Sound and picture on the screen
are both perfect!
Enjoy!
Long live cinema!
