One LUSH, two LUSH! One LUSH, two LUSH.
It's been a good few days since I got back from my trip to Seattle with my
boyfriend. While we were there, and yes, "WE"
as a couple did a little bit of hauling.
I guess I will start with the me/less exciting
stuff
i went to this one place call Daiso.
Basically Daiso is an inexpensive Japanese store where you can buy
pretty much anything you want.
And of course knowing me i kinda went straight to the beauty section.
I didn't really get makeup, but I got makeup/beauty related
things.
The first thing that I picked up were these eyelash sets.
This one is a two pack and this one is a single.
I want to get more into lashes so I decided to pick up these cheap ones.
Both of these were $1.50
and most other items from Daiso are $1.50 including the other products I purchased.
I think these lashes are really cute.
They're
really long
and spiky.
We'll see how those go.
The next two items that I got were face masks or "packs".
I picked this one up in the hopes that it would be similar to my favorite
Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. You can see that this one is
black and it's also a peel-off mask.
I can't tell what the ingredients are because
a) there isn't any and
b) it's in Japanese and then Japanese transliterated into English which makes it a little
confusing.
The second mask is a nose mask
which you apply to your nose and peel it off.
The last and i got isn't exactly makeup-related. It's
this little plastic bobby pin holder.
It actually came with 25 bobby pins which I've already put in the box.
Here is the box. It's cute and it has little roses
on it. It's not the highest quality plastic, but it's not "cheap".
There inside is a little mirror
and those bobby pins.
I bought this because I love to travel with bobby pins and
I hate losing them in my purse. Plus the packaging reminds me of Anna Sui.
And now for the main event
and the "US" haulage.
It's LUSH. The first store we went to was in Bellevue, Wa.
This was the first time that Sebastian had ever been into LUSH
and he was really reluctant to go,
but we got in there
and the ladies that were working there were just so warm and welcoming and inviting.
They were just wonderful people, so if you work
at the Bellevue LUSH
or you know someone who works there:
thank you so much!
It was a wonderful experience. We only bought two items
even though this is a huge bag, but we did get a
TON of samples.
This thing is the LUSH summer catalogue
which isn't overly exciting.
We've used some of the stuff that we bought so I have little bags
to serve as interpretations.
The first item we bought was a Twilight Bath Bomb and
it's no longer in here. I used it and it was gorgeous.
The bag still smells awesome. He got a block of Demon in the Dark soap
which basically smells like spearmint and it will knock you off your feet.
The next item was a sample of the Strawberry Feels Forever Massage Bar
which we have
used a lot. Then we got 4 samples of 3 different products
one of them is the Ocean Salt Scrub which is mine and I'm loving this. I actually
want to go back and get it.
Then we have to jars of Mask of Magnanimity.
He was on that wanted this because
we were up there for his work which was rigging and
flying around a bunch
of areal acrobats, plus he had to set up equipment, so he had sore muscles
and this is cooling and relaxing
so that's why we got it. I also got
some Toothy Tabs.
So, funny story... I've heard of
toothy tabs and I knew that they freshened breath.
I just didn't know that you weren't supposed to swallow them.
If you have Toothy Tabs you know where I'm going with this.
So I was there and I saw a little tester for the Atomic ones which have clove in
them.
Some of you may know that clove has
numbing properties.
So I bit down on one with my molars (which doomed me to
swallowing anyways).
Oh, Lordy. It was HORRIBLE. It was SO bad. This side of my mouth was numb,
my throat was numb, and I had a frog in my throat for three days.
Lesson learned:
never ever ever ever ever ever ever swallow Toothy Tabs. Ever.
I got the Ultrablast ones
which taste more like toothpaste.
I decided to be brave and face my fears so I have a little sample,
but I haven't used any of them yet. I think I'm a little bit scarred for life.
I will eventually face my fears and use them.
The second bag is from
the Portland store.
Sebastian was the one who suggested stopping there.
He got the GeoPhyzz Bath Bomb
which I will also represent the used Twilight bag.
He used it as soon as we got home because he was just so sore.
I got 2 toner tabs. I didn't remember
the name of the first one so I put it above, and I
got the Tea Tree one
You use these by boiling
some water, pour it in a bowl, pop one of these in, and do a face steam.
I wanted to try those out, plus they were the cheapest thing LUSH carry
at $1.95 each.
I also got a jar of Whoosh Shower Jelly and I am in LOVE with the
stuff and actually used quite a bit of it. I'll pull some out and jiggle it at you.
I love this stuff.
I really do. It is AWESOME!
I also got a
fresh-faced mask. It was the cupcake one
I had it for a grand total of 1 day.
I used it once on myself and then I used it on Sebastian and 2 of his siblings
since they all have oily and problematic skin.
And it's aaaaaaall gone now.
Since we were all having skin crises I declared a mask night
and everyone was like "yay". Everyone ended up looking gorgeous afterwards
But
I have none left. That means that I have 1 out of 5 pots that I can return for a
free Fresh Faced mask.
The last item from LUSH is a
Bubbleroon
which is a solid bubble bath
that looks like a macaroon.
It smells
kind of grassy and earthy.
You use these by breaking it in half and crumble it under running water
which creates the bubbles
for the bubble bath.
I'm really excited to use this. I'm actually surprised that I haven't already
because I'm under a lot of stress still.
So
we'll see how this goes.
That was the Haul from Seattle/Portland. Thank you for watching this
and I shall see you soon with something that ISN'T a haul
because I feel like I've been
doing that quite a bit lately and I don't want to be one of those "haul channels". I shall see you later!
