Hi guys!
Today i am here to show how to make Dip Dye and Tie Dye.
It's super easy and you can make it at home!
Here i will use these 3 inks (for fabric)
You will need a 100% cotton or another "natural fabric".
Here i will use this shorts, it's 100% cotton
I will make Dip Dye in this shorts
You can use a fabric "not natural", like 80% cotton and 20% polyester but it will not work so good.
Here i will use this T-shirt "mixed fabric" 97% cotton and 3% elastane
Don't use 100% polyester because it will not work.
Use an old pot because it can be stained
Or use a plastic bowl like me
You also need gloves
And put an old clothing
So let's get started!
I'm here warming the water
and I'm going to do step by step with you!
Wash the fabric before dyeing and dip it still humid
I am here with and old outfit
So I put the boiling water, salt and the first fabric ink
and I've been gradually adding fabric ink until I get the color I wanted
I put only the bottom of the shorts
Don't forget to add salt because it will help fix the color in the fabric
I'll let the shorts in fabric ink about 30 minutes
Now i will make the second step
I will use the second ink color
I'll squeeze the shorts, but I will not cheer
now I'm boiling more water
because now i will use the pink ink
and I'll do the same process as i did before ...
(you guys can see that the easier part is open the fabric paint!)
yes, the easiest part is that! #not
You can see that I'm making a "gradient color" in my shorts
Now I want to paint the top of the shorts
Check out my blog (www.keepcalmdiy.com) to see a color wheel
this can help you to decide what colors to use
Now to make the third color I want
I'll put another color on top of shorts
So I'll be holding the shorts...
and to take advantage of this I'll make my "tie dye" shirt
I will use this old T-shirt to make Tie Dye
I'm using some stones
and I'll curl up in my T-shirt
Now I'll wait the clothes to dry
and tomorrow I'll wash it with a neutral soap
and i will show you!
