Just a moment ago, the women's final was completed, and it was a match between the world's number 1 and 2.
Here we see the video, Klas, where we see, with the pink haired, Zuzana Kubanova from The Czech Republic meet the German, Nathalie Zeoli, who is the world number 1.
Well, it was an unbelievable thriller. The rules of this sport state that if it is tied towards the end, it will be determined by what we call a "gummiarm."
And incredibly enough, this match goes to "gummiarm." One player has one serve, and it is just the one point that determines the outcome of the match; and believe me,
at that stage it is not about technique. It is not about how good you are at sports, it is all about mental toughness.
We are going to see that, I think, when we are going to see the wonderful (ironic) serve from the one who gets to serve, and the we understand what it is all about the mental aspect.
Also, these girls are really good. The level on which they perform is better than the guys on the same level in this World Championship. I think they have been incredible.
Nathalie Zeoli from Germany at the far end of the pictures won table tennis by 21-14, won badminton 21-13, then lost squash to Zuzana by 10-21 and here we see the decisive match, tennis.
Precisely as Klas stated, if you have gained enough points in the first three sports the match can be determined before the tennis game is played.
Here we see the serve. She does not dare to hit a normal serve, because she is so unbelievably nervous at this point. A moment before she thought she won the match, but they were actually tied. But she was just so tired.
But here we see the winner, and it does not get any more exciting than this. And you can just see the unbridald joy.
I have actually played in some "gummiarms" myself and you can be as tough mentally as possible, but here it is all about crunch time!
