>>MARIA BORODICH: I think the first thing that attracted me to study in Bournemouth
University was it's location, I mean it's by the seaside it is Britain and I really
love Britain you know and then I found out that it's quite good at media too actually
it is excellent in media so I was really happy to find that out and so when they allowed
me to study in the university I was really happy about that. The application process
is quite easy as soon as you know exactly what to do and you have somebody to help you
out with the filling in the forms you know because I'm Russian and I'm not very good
at language, but I had my friend who helped me collect all the documents and she checked
my language. I really really love my course, it's MA Directing as I just said. We have
a lot of practice here, like a lot so we're even a bit tired of that because every two
or three weeks we have to do another project and we collaborate with other students a lot
and it's really fun because back in Russia I was trying to do some short movies, but
we don't have many students there and I have nobody, you know, no cameraman for example
so I have to do like everything myself and it comes out to be a really nice in here when
I'm studying here, but now I can call for some, you know some professional guys who
can help me out, it's really nice. Everything is really well organised here, so there is
a lot of collaboration between students and a lot of unions around so you can get in touch
with students from other courses and it's really wonderful and there are a lot of international
students here, it's not usual back in Russia so you can find yourself talking to people
from other cultures you know and it's really nice. What I enjoy most about being in Bournemouth
University is that both students and teachers are very welcome and friendly to each other.
I wish all the Russian people would enjoy their life a little bit more because it's
certainly worth it.
