Today, we have come to Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture.
We are now visiting Ichishima Shuzo, a sake brewery in the city.
The brewery, known for its Brand name Omon, is just several minutes from Shibata station.
Ichishima Brewery was founded in 1790s.
It has a history of as long as about 220 years.
Tools for sake brewing once used, kimono clothes, calligraphic works and paintings, and other antiques are displayed.
These valuable items were handed down for generations in the Ichishima family.
Tasting time!

This sake is dry and easy-to-drink but it has some richness in taste.

This is of course milder in taste than the previous sake.
This is Ginjo Koshu Nenrin.

An aged version of Shinshu Shiboritate.
Yamahai Junmai Sake
Acidity specific to yamahai sake is quite attractive especially after sipping these many sakes.
I personally like sake like this.
This is Junmai Yume.
Richness in taste and acidity
Honjozo sake
This sake is quite drinkable, and probably I can drink this sake a lot.
