Welcome to the third video in the YouTube tutorial series. In this video I'm going to
be showing you how to change your YouTube
channel URL.
If you don't know what your channel URL is if you actually go to your YouTube channel
and you look at the top of your web browser where you would normally type in the web
address of the website you wanna go to since we're on our channel page right
here we can see that says YouTube dot com backslash channel backslash and
then it has a bunch of numbers and letters right
here, this is your YouTube channel URL right here it is pretty much the address to your
channel page on the YouTube servers so ideally we want this to be the name of our YouTube
channel or you can have anything you want.
So I am on my youtube channel page and I'm gonna go up here to the top right
hand corner of the browser where it has my account
name and then click on that.
It's going to bring down this little you know menu
bar so I'm gonna go to YouTube settings. It will then take you to this page right here.
Your overview and your account settings and right under your channel name or your
account name it will say advanced, we want to
click on that.
It will then take us to this channel settings right here you will see and it says channel
URL and has our long channel URL right here.
Right at the end of that it will say create custom URL and that is what we want to do
so I'm going to click on that link.It will then
take me to this page and it says important note:
Once you set your custom channel URL it cannot be changed.
So you want to make sure and pick what it is you want to keep because you can't come
back and change this you can only do it one time and it's set.
So I'm gonna go ahead and change mine to my channel name which is BrowserLanguage123
and after I enter my channel name in there, right down here this little blue button says
create channel URL.
I now have changed my channel URL It will take
you back to this page and say you've created a
custom channel URL.
Your new channel name URL is YouTube backslash user backslash BrowserLanguage123.
So to see this I'm gonna go back to my channel and it is now changed to YouTube dot com
backslash user backslash BrowserLanguage123 which looks better and is easier for somebody
else if they want to come to my page and just type it in the you know, little address bar.
That is how you change your YouTube channel URL. If this video helped you, help me by
