SOME EXAMPLES IN ESPERANTO
It's raining.
It's snowing.
The sun is shining.
Damn!
I am tired.
I am happy.
You are beautiful
Hello!
Bye
Thanks
You're welcome. (not-thank-worthy)
Bon appé***!
I love you.
What time is it?
My name is...
What's up?
How are you?
Very well!
Is it easy for you to learn Esperanto?
The language looked easy at first and so it turned out to be.
Yes, it was quite easy for me.
It was a bit difficult for me.
I managed to learn Esperanto in six weeks.
and so I wrote a short letter to the Esperanto Association in Oslo.
I started to express myself well after two months.
For me, it was after four or five months.
I already spoke on almost all subjects.
I think that altogether it took me six weeks to learn it,
with long pauses between the weeks.
The grammar is simple, but in any case I had to memorize the vocabulary.
So this part depends on the time you have.
It's simple, but it's like other languages,
you really have to study.
At the beginning, you really need to make an effort to learn a language.
So that's why we have to look past the beginning.
I learned very basic rules.
And later yes, you learn new words.
I bought a dictionary and more or less learned independently using the internet.
Through an internet course I became sufficiently fluent in the language,
and started to use it in international meetings.
Asians can also use the language freely,
while English and French, on the contrary, are very difficult.
I'm learning a great deal and I only speak a little.
I always tell my students not to be afraid of using the language.
Mistakes are part of learning, and those who never make a mistake never learn anything.
IS ESPERANTO USEFUL FOR YOU?
Yes! Definitely yes. Simply yes.
For example, now I'm not speaking Portuguese.
I don't think that you speak Spanish and yet we can talk.
It works, so this international language isn't some pie in the sky,
or something that doesn't exist. It's in fact quite real.
We organize meetings to encourage Esperantists to visit our country.
I wouldn't want to miss out, now that I know that it exists.
This world.
Without Esperanto my life would be
less fulfilling, a lot worse and a lot more boring.
It's very interesting to come to an Esperanto event and
meet strangers as if they were old acquaintances.
There is something clear among Esperantists.
Even if you don't know the person, there is something in the eyes which...
you can't explain it.
Actually, I have profited a lot from using Esperanto.
Thanks to Esperanto I have gotten to know people that I would never have been able to meet without Esperanto,
and that, in fact, influenced my whole life.
So, actually, some of my oldest friends,
or the friends that I have known the longest,
are in the Esperanto world.
A very worthwhile thing
It's not only an international language, but an idea of collaboration and good communication and understanding between people.
Esperanto always accompanies us in our family life.
Esperanto is our home language because my mother is Polish and my father Danish.
And they met at an Esperanto convention.
So Esperanto has been my whole life for me till now, hasn't it?
Therefore, I'm a result of Esperanto.
And we only know: "Esperanto works. Yes! Yes!"
