Hi, I'm Roman, I'm an electrical engineering student from Queens, NY
One of the things I liked about UB was the large diversity among the students
how many of my friends are not engineering students and come from all over the world
and I think that, I know that definitely helped me become a better, well-rounded engineer.
I grew up in Bethany, NY which has a population of about 1700 people,
and my high school graduating class was only 63 students,
so coming to UB where the numbers are quite higher than that
was a little shock in the beginning, but what I found was that the engineering department
made the large campus seem smaller.
You got to know all of the professors and the students, and it was more like a family
than this big scary place to try to navigate around.
