today though I want to talk about how to participate
in a virtual meeting or webinar if you've had a chance to take a look at
our
trainings for this year you'll notice that many ever alternate creek %um
teacher group meetings
our virtual meetings or their webinars and so
today I want to talk about how you can participate
I receive many have questions and in many questions and comments concerns
from OU on about how to participate in this process
and so I thought it would be really nice to put together a quick video
on how to participate in a virtual meeting if you've never participated in
the alternate creek %um teacher group meetings
there really a wonderful wonderful way to collaborate
to share resources in get support from your colleagues
who also teach students on the alternate curriculum so
please grab a pencil and a piece a paper I'm gonna walk you through that process

today we're going to focus on the teacher group meetings
so it's cruel down to use teacher group meetings him I'm gonna grab a pencil and
a piece paper
and a jot down some beats and also some topics

so go ahead and login gonna go ahead and put my
my login information and

click on courses I want to see all the course

so next up Ochlik class offerings in here what you want to select
under program you'll select special education
alright so let me see if I can find that there it is
and for keyword you're very tight man

hit Search sOooo what issued

you'll see that I spelled curriculum incorrectly
so I don't get any results so it is important to
to spell correctly let's try it again all rights to
here you'll see all the classes that are available each month
these are classes that you are my one who enroll in
so if I'm from the south I know that on September 3rd 2013
there's a virtual or virtual meeting or web a NAR
that I want to participate in some gonna go ahead and click
click that link all true teachers all true Christian teachers group
a click that link and
wait a second as the to class
begins to load next up
you just click in rule now see you you know you want to participate during that
at that time in that day
I go ahead and click enroll now see you can click enroll now
popup is gonna come back and we'll say please confirm to enroll in this class
I'm going to hit okay and it says you've successfully enrolled in this class
alright please check your email cell I'm gonna go ahead and do that

next up I'll that check check my email
your 2013
it's at 1:30 p.m. and you're ready to participate in the virtual meeting
only need to do is go back to that email click on
the security meeting link so go ahead and click on that
it's gonna open up another window and its gonna give me some instructions
that's all basically give you instructions about installing
at the Qt meeting software there is a small small
pre-grammy you have to run in order to you
access the the meeting if you have administrative access on your computer
rate and I would encourage you to go ahead and download and install it
if you don't have administrative access on your computer
you will want to ask someone on your campus to help you with this process
it's not difficult it's very easy it's quick won't take a lot of time
but it's something that will need to be done so thinking ahead
if you don't have administrative access and you need to get this installed on
your computer
I would go ahead and eat get it installed well before September 3rd
as you can go ahead and install that once the year
the the software is installed and
when you click on the link this offer will actually
open up and it will that it will start
and you will be able to see this said this software
so the one thing that I would pay particular attention to be the chat box
this is a good place where you can take messages soon with
in right now I'm the only one in the meeting but I could type
hello everyone which would be nice
if there were other people in the meeting I could send private messages to
them
maybe I wanna send something to you back to Kevin

Anna this is a really good way to communicate with the presenter and the
other folks that are participating in the meeting
it's a nice way to ask questions and contribute
so if you don't have a microphone on your computer
this is a great way to to participate if you do have a microphone
you can also also use that to to participate
so it really it doesn't require a lot in the way as
equipment so that is
the good in meeting software okay at this point we've completed
all the steps required to participate in online or a virtual meeting
so I hope to use a in joy the video

and get some assistance in its going back to that that software
and then finally on that meeting day
you simply go to your email click on the link the

again in terms of equipment you really don't need much
you do need it to you and have a set of speakers and the speakers might be built
in your computer where you may have speakers that
you plug into the back at your computer whatever the case is
that's the sort of the bare minimum what's required if you do have a
microphone or headset
that would be fabulous and I would be great free participate that way
