Ben Gonyo here for Expert Village. We are putting together a kaleidoscope. Right now
we are going to make the end lenses cap part of the kaleidoscope, which holds the colored
beads and makes the pattern. Now a lot of directions they call for a Petri dish or a
couple Petri dishes for this, which also work, but they are not always easiest to find and
they don't often match the size tube you have to so you have to make adjustments there.
This is another little trick that I got for you that is going to save you money and hassle
about looking for parts. What you are going to do is you are going to cut off the last
inch of your tube. So we will do that very quickly. Wow that was fast. Now we have got
our end tube-a-ring and the rest of our tube and what we are going to use this for is our
lenses by putting our transparencies on each side of it and creating our end cap. I will
show you how to do that next.
