So this is an Alaska militiamen group arrested in a conspiracy to kill state troopers and
judges. Five people were arrested by state and federal law enforcement on charges connected
with the plot-- I'm sorry, the alleged, yeah, it's always alleged, Louis, the alleged plot
to kidnap or kill state troopers and a Fairbanks judge, according to the Alaska state troopers.
Nothing to see here, folks. Just another isolated incident while we bring in Muslims and make
it seem like the entire group, just the identity, if you identify as a Muslim, you're the concern,
not the militiamen.
Francis "Schaeffer" ***, Lonnie Vernon, Karen Vernon, and two other people are the individuals
brought in here. The investigation revealed plans to kidnap or kill Alaska state troopers
and a judge. The plans included extended surveillance on the homes of two Fairbanks troopers. This
guy, ***, Francis "Schaeffer" ***, and his buddies had acquired a large amount of weapons
in order to carry out attacks against the victims. So this is not just oh, I'm going
to write in my online blog that I don't like this group and I might do something. They
have acquired the weapons to do incredible amounts of violence.
Louis: Wasn't there a story very similar to this, almost exactly the same? There was a
group of people in a different state that all got arrested for planning something like
similar to this?
David: There was, but you know, there was-- these actual people, in the recent past, ***
and his buddies were part of the militia faction that supported, who else, Joe Miller, in his
Sarah Palin-sponsored run for the Senate. This, fortunately Joe Miller didn't win, because
this is the type of support the guy had.
And you know what's interesting? There's this... I've been doing research into what is being
said by many of these hopefully only potential attackers when they are going after the police,
and it's something called "sovereign citizenship ideology", OK? This appears to be a significant
component of ***'s belief system. He claims he and all Americans are sovereigns, kings
and queens, OK? And no one is required to obey laws unless not doing so would harm other
sovereigns.
So in other words, I mean, you know what? How can I even think up examples? Let's give
an example from Louis here. Louis likes to speed in his car. Now, if he's on a backroad
and there is no risk to anybody else, any other sovereign, Louis is a sovereign, he
is a king or queen, we don't know which, and if the police were to try to pull him over,
he would not be liable, because he wasn't directly endangering anyone other than himself.
That's not really a great example. I mean, it's such an absurd statement that how can
we even come up with examples?
Louis: Right.
David: Much of the claims about this sovereign citizenship actually center around the belief
that President Lincoln subverted the original Constitution and replaced it with a copy that
incorporated the United States.
Louis: Now, these people believe in this sovereign citizenship?
David: Right.
Louis: OK, but they're going to-- they were going to go kill other sovereigns.
David: Well, but the sovereigns were complicit in taking away their sovereignty. The police,
they were imposing rules on them.
Louis: Oh, I see. So there are exceptions to this rule.
[Laughter]
David: Apparently there are. You know what's interesting?
Louis: OK.
David: You know what this is? This is the Muslims' responsibility for not policing radical
militiamen. That's what it is, Peter King is right. The focus should've been all the
time not on this group but on the hearings on Muslims.
Louis: That must be it.
David: Because Muslims should've been policing these guys. Maybe Peter King should drag both
Palin and Joe Miller into hearings and ask them hey, why weren't you more vigilant and
turned these guys in? Oh, that's right, that's right, they supported you, they are white
Christians. I see, I see. That's what it was. But let's keep going with the Peter King hearings,
ladies and gentlemen. Keep it going.
Louis: It's a shame.
David: Today on the bonus show, Mars needs mom bombs. I don't even know what that means.
Louis: "Mars Needs Moms" bombs.
David: Oh, the movie "Mars Needs Mom" has bombed. It's almost impossible to even say.
Louis: [Laughs] I should've wrote that a little better.
David: Listen, we'll be talking about that, whatever it is, on the bonus show. And also
we'll be talking about an incredible story of Iran using child soldiers. And there's
also a very bizarre bill in Michigan that Louis will tell us all about. So if you're
not yet set up to get the bonus show, this is the time to do it, ladies and gentlemen.
Middle of March, it's perfect. Just changed our clocks...
Louis: You've got to get the bonus show before summer rolls around.
David: www.DavidPakman.com/membership. We'll take a break, we'll come back. There's so
much more on this show we probably won't even get to all of it. That's just how much there
is. Be back after this.
