Hi, I'm Sue! How has your week been? Fine? I hope so.
Here I am again to tell you about some of my stuff.
We were last talking about 1975...
a quite tumultuous year
politically speaking...
We didn't exactly know what was going to happen with Spain...
Franco had just passed away in November...
and in January 1976, my father had to leave the country due to reasons that are irrelevant now...
he had to emigrate and I felt he had abandoned me
because he left all of a sudden and
my mother apparently knew where he was, but she never told us...
until we discovered a few years later
We went to Zaragoza to live with our father's mother,
and then I had to go to a catholic school, a nun's school, quite conservative...
and, of course, I then had to have my first comunion, something that wasn't expected before...
so, in a rush, I had to prepare for it,
and on May 2nd in 1976, I had my first comunion.
I caught this as a straw...
and well... I had faith...
I was a religious girl... I was super convinced that
God and Jesus were entering my body that day...
and i must say that was a very emotional day...
and well, with a lot of sense, so I considered very good for me.
Afterwards I've had ups and downs with the religion subject.
Overall because there were, and are, many religions practiced in within my family:
part of my grandparents were Christian Reformed, my Mother was Presbiterian, my sisters and I were raised as Catholic...
half of my family is Jewish, one of my son's biological father is Muslim...
and when I studied three courses of Psychology in the UNED University
I studied other religions in Anthropology, in first grade
and I have also been interested in why do we think the way we do...
I have looked for, read, researched about what other cultures thought or believed in
That's why I have, for example, a Jehova Witneses book...
here I have The Book of Mormon... The Coran... I've got a Bible... anhow,
I dont talk for the sake of talking; I have also looked at the Asian cultures,
Zen, Hinduism, Buddhism...
Although I've always been looking for the answers to the questions I make to myself
I've realized there are many conflicts due to religions;
and these are things I don't like,
so, to me, I respect all options as far as others respect me...
I believe in myself and I believe in Love,
I do think we all must try to be the best people we can achieve from ourselves...
we must be respectful and tolerant.
I don't want to impose on you what I think but I also don't want you to impose on me whatever you think or expect.
I believe that if all human beings should act this way, getting along toghether would be much easier,
and we would avoid many conflicts, but well...
this is just my own consideration,
now that I remembered my first comunion,
and as I said, I don't want to influence you,
or impose anything,
it is just something I wanted to tell you, like other of my things.
If you want to make any comments about what I've said, you can post them below in "Comments",
