Okay, it was March 1, 1995. Ok. And why did you decide to open up this
business? Uh, it's my passion.

Well, you know for a living. Yeah. To make money right?
Does this job make you happy? So-so.
What do you think is the best thing on your menu?
Uh, they like the lumpia, the pancit, the curry curry, and beef steak.
Can you just explain what a couple of the dishes are?
Yeah, the lumpia is actually an egg roll with pork and a lot of mix of vegetables.

Mhm. Yeah. Well, it's a tiny noodles popular in the Philippines.
And what was the other one? Beef curry? Or? The beef steak is made- cooked with lemon
and soy sauce. So what draws people into your restaurant?
I think they like the taste. They're happy. Yeaah. It smell really good in here.
Do you think that food brings people together? Oh yeah. It's like when you pray, in the whole
family you pray and you eat together. Yeah, you're brought together.
When you stared this business was it hard to get it started? Like financial-wise?
Yeah. When I started here I'm so so tired , but um at least it took 19 years to.
It's very hard like to sale, you know how to make them satisfied.
Mhm. And most of your customers, are they mostly
filipino? Or do you? Oh, no. It's all different kinds.You know
what I mean, All colors. Cause it's like, did you decide for yourself
to want to set it up in the Mission? Yes. Actually, a friend of mine gave me this
place. There are three other or four owners here who did not stay long. So, I don't know
if I will make money. So they say I'm the only one who stayed here longer.
How did you manage to stay in business for so long?
You know managing a business is like having a family. Head of the family. And you have
to love what you do and be honest. It's very important.
