Here’s how you can create a filtered view in Quickbase.
From the Dashboard, go to Hardware Assets,
Find Hardware Assets.
And in this case let’s say you don’t know the Hardware Asset Record ID
Number, but you do know that this is a computer,
so we’ll look for the Category field,
and I’m going to say Contains, because we want to pull
both desktops and laptops, so Category contains
the value Computer,
and
it’s a Dell, so Manufacturer is equal
to the value Dell,
and, we know that the Technical Support Person
is Fred.
So I’ve just built a
query of the database, or a search on multiple different
fields at the same time. And should you
want to add even more conditions to this query,
you can also add them by clicking on this green
plus sign, but notice that it doesn’t appear until you
roll your mouse over to the right of this row.
Likewise if you need to delete a condition,
click the red minus. So we’re going to
search all these fields together by clicking on Display.
(Clicking)
And when Quickbase returns the results of your search, notice that
they’re arranged in ascending order
according to the Hardware Asset Record ID Number.
I invite you to play around with the flexibility you have
in searching Quickbase.
