Hello, and welcome to PlasticPrinters.com Personalization Videos.
In this installment, we will be going over how to prepare your files for variable data.
Firstly, many times if you are printing with variable data you have multiple columns of information.
Do not leave these column headers blank or add unrelated titles.
Instead, title each column with relative information about the data provided.
While adding extra rows and columns may be more visually pleasing to the eye...
...it is not beneficial for printing variable data
Remove any extra rows or columns that do not have any information in them.
You can do this by selecting each empty row or column, right clicking, and choosing delete.
You may have some information in your Excel file that you do not want to be printed on the cards.
Do not leave these on your file.
Make sure that you remove these by selecting unneeded columns, right clicking, and choosing delete.
Each row represents one card.
Sometimes it is necessary to print multiples of cards. Do not add in information to indicate that multiple prints are desired.
Instead, duplicate the row by copying and inserting the row into the sheet and create multiple prints.
Your file may include multiple tabs for organizational purposes.
If you have multiple tabs, both with information you would like printed on the card...
...copy all the information in each tab...
...and save them on separate files.
