There were diverse sites for the executions.
The executions were by hanging,
and the hanging was not done with the trap
trap door; it was done with rope,
and that was strangulation.
There were people nearby in their homes--
men, women, and children--
looking at the at this episode.
They put in a petition:
"Please move this because this is troublesome to our children and and to
our wives."
So the gallows was moved
elsewhere, to around fifteenth street, th st
and was used there.
Later,
the gallows were set up and various places, one of which was Prosser's Tavern--a
tavern owned by Thomas Henry Prosser, the owner of Gabriel.
Then there were other places, the Four Corners and a few others that were
obscure
places to many people today.
