Hello. Today, we'll be looking at some footage of the Cube Trains beta.
Using the magic of television, I've sped myself up 2.5x while leaving the game running normally.
Either that or I should cut back on the Coffee.
By the way, "Spoiler Alert".
Anyway, the Beta brings in some nice new features.
① You can now use mouse wheel to rotate the active piece.
② There is now a main map.
You don't have to solve every puzzle to unlock the next one.
③ The graphics are prettier.
④ You can play it if you're colourblind. (The entrances are numbered.)
Oh, by the way, the game is downloadable from DDR0.github.com.
Right now, the beta is free. It's available for Windows and Mac.
But if you're on Linux, you'll have to compile it yourself.
A small disclaimer – since this is the first Beta, there isn't any sound yet.
But sound, and maybe a bit of music, will be included in the next one.
Another feature that's been added is scoring.
It works like golf. The lower the score, the better you're doing.
Trees cost something like 30 points to destroy. Try to leave them when possible.
You can't reset a level at the moment, but you can press u⃣ to undo stuff.
I'll add resetting a level in the next release.
Now, I'll build some stuff here and return to main map.
The marker is yellow. This means we've attemped the map.
I'll build some stuff on this map, too.
*awkward silence*
… OK, so now I'm going to exit the map and restart the game.
Any yellow level is saved in it's intermediate state.
So you don't have to attempt just one level at a time, ethier.
That's all for today. Thanks for watching!
