Hi, my name is Barbara Balducci, I live here in Central Florida, and I’ve been a patient
at this practice for 24 years. I was dealing with some sores on my foot because of a deformity
from a car accident and the orthopedic surgeon told me it really wasn’t something he dealt
with and I should see a podiatrist.
It was hard to wear a shoe - especially a sneaker or shoe that laced or one that fit
on top of my foot. I had a lot of pain with that. It did affect my quality of life.
When I would stand up a lot or do sports, by the end of - if I had a game or something
- I would have pains in my ankles where I would have to sit down, and when I would lay
down to rest I would have pain just shoot up my leg and it was like a numbing pain - it
was just really uncomfortable. Eventually I got tired of it and said, “I need to do
something about this while I’m still young.”
There’s no sense in waiting, because if your feet hurt, everything hurts. It affects
everything in my life if my feet are hurting.
Nobody likes to have to go to a doctor often, we’d all rather not have to see a doctor
very often, but if you have to see a doctor frequently, this is one of the most pleasant
practices to visit. Everybody, from the receptionists to the doctors, are warm and friendly and
very pleasant.
Everybody was nice, they were efficient, I didn’t have to wait a long time, like you
do in a lot of doctor’s offices. It all went well.
The time that he sat there, right there in front of me - “Hey, I care for you and I
want to make sure I answer all of your questions and to try to help you the best that I can.”
I’m walking today very well without crutches, without a cane, not using a wheelchair - so
I’m a happy camper!
My golf game is actually better than it was before my surgery, so that’s awesome.
I have no more pain, and I’ve had a lot of pain for probably 20 years. Now I’m wonderful.
