In this video I'll show you how to download your Harry Potter eBook and then transfer it onto your device.
This demonstration is on a computer, but the download process is the same if you access the Pottermore Shop on your smartphone or tablet.
We start off on the Pottermore Shop homepage and navigate to a product page where you can buy your Harry Potter eBook, for yourself or as a gift.
Here you can also download a sample of this eBook to make sure that it works on your computer and device.
Now I'll move to the 'My Books' page. This is where you'll find your eBooks once you've purchased them, and is the first step towards reading them.
Pick the eBook that you want to access by clicking 'Select', then choose the 'Direct Download' option and follow the download steps until your eBook has been processed and the download commences.
Once your eBook has downloaded you can transfer it onto your device using Adobe Digital Editions or other EPUB compatible software. Adobe Digital Editions is free to download from the Adobe website - www.adobe.com.
To import your eBook into Adobe Digital Editions, simply click 'Library' and then 'Add item to library'.
Find your eBook on your computer and then click 'Open'. Once your eBook has been imported into Adobe Digital Editions you can easily transfer it onto your device.
If you wish to transfer your eBook onto an Apple device you can simply import it into iTunes by clicking on the file and dragging it into the 'Books' section of iTunes. Once there you can transfer your eBook onto your device by syncing as usual.
If you have any further questions about how to access your purchase on your device then the chances are they're covered in the Help section of the Pottermore Shop, where you'll find a comprehensive collection of Frequently Asked Questions designed to make your experience easier and more pleasurable. I hope you found this video useful and thanks for your interest in the Pottermore Shop, the only place where you can buy the official eBook and digital audio book versions of the Harry Potter novels.
