Hi, I'm Lisa Berliner, an associate real estate broker with Houlihan Lawrence. I've been helping
buyers find a home in Somers, where I have lived since 1997. Many real estate agents
don't like to work where they live. To me, nothing makes more sense than to work where
I live. I think Lisa being a local was a huge part of her knowing every neighborhood, almost
every person. I feel like every house she showed us, she knew someone who lived on that
street. I think she kind of knew the areas we would like because she knows everything
about it. She's kind of Miss Northern Westchester. There is no better resource than someone who
lives in the town, who has kids going to the schools, and playing sports in the local parks.
She knew where you would have to go if you bought a specific house, what your lifestyle
was going to be. Where was your local grocery store, where was your book store, where you
would buy your wine. That was helpful. It was helpful because you really got a sense
of what your lifestyle would be before you moved into the house. I've lived in Somers
since 1997, and nothing makes me happier than selling a home in my own hometown.
