Please find this product at http://absupply.net/ This video is to bring you a closer look at
the Trimco 1191-1 Offset Door Pull. Shown to you here in the US 32D or 630 Stainless
Steel finish. There's a link below this video to the cut sheet showing everything important
dimensionally about the pull handle. The 1191-1 you can see on the table there is 3/4" diameter,
8" center to center, 2-1/2" clearance which gives it a handicapped accessible approval.
Lets go over some of that stuff and then we will get to the rest of the dimensions. 8"
center to center, it's kind of hard to see that but 8" center to center, 3/4" diameter
solid stainless. So your overall height is 8-3/4", the inset, clearance dimension is
from the face of the door to the inside which is the important part is 2-1/2". The amount
of the offset, the face here is your "D" dimension, outside to outside, that's 3-7/8", from here
to here is 3-7/8" so you can get an idea for how far over it goes. Used on single doors
or very typically double doors with one like this and the other one like that, works really
great. This is Trimco's just typical through bolt mount. You are going to have these flat
head machine bolts. I'm going to say those are 5/16" with counter sunk washers, very
heavy duty. This pull handle itself weighs 2 and a quarter pounds. Quite frankly it weighs
2 and a third pounds actually, its quite substantial in its weight. Its very nice quality fit and
finish which is synonymous with the Trimco name. Inspecting the overall fit and finish
of it is just excellent for being a piece of stainless steel somewhat utilitarian in
its design its really good fit and finish. Feel substantial to me. 3/4" diameter is a
little bit smaller than what you are going to typically find. In my opinion 1" diameter
is very common. That's a smaller handle so that you can get your hand around it substantially,
however there is less surface area so when you pull on the handle there is less surface
area for the handle to distribute the force of pulling the door open meaning some people
like a thicker bar to pull on because the elderly find its less painful is the complaint
that I've actually heard. The example given would be also like when you are given a grab
bar if you have a 1" diameter grab bar versus a 1-1/2" using the grab bar pushing up that
is sort of analogy for wider or greater diameter. Available in several different architectural
finishes. Brass based material; aluminum is very common as well. You can't go wrong with
this stainless steel, its very nice pull handle by Trimco. Trimco is a full line manufacturer
of all things trim and auxiliary hardware related in the trim and auxiliary world like
pull handles, push bars, sets of push pull plates, door stops. They are very famously
known for their ADA compliant sliding passage and privacy function pocket door locks, but
not locks pocket door handles. If you have any questions on the Trimco 1191-1 8" center
