Hi guys, I'm Ângelo
Today I'm here with a unusual video
A jump I wanna do for a long time
I'm gonna show you, how i'm gonna do
to unlock a mental barrier
a jump I'm afraid to do, but wich I feel prepared
This jump
So, I'll show you all the process
to be able to go there, unlock it and do the move I wanna do
I'll do this same jump, very similar
almost the same, rail to rail, at ground level
where there's no risk, at this level
and I'm going to repeat it, till I'm confortable
to be able to do it up there
Ok, first thing:
It's very important to be confortable whit the basis: a catpass on a rail
For those who don't know what a catpass is:
It's a jump between arms
To be able to do this jump, that is simple
but in a high place, I need to be sure I'm not going to fail
that's why it's very important to do the basis with ease
Ok, number 2:
I need to be very confortable also landing on a rail
"Nice stick"
"David SP" is kidding me, he need's to teach me how to "stick" a precision jump
He's going to show how to do it...
(No one saw it... Then i'll erase this part )
Number 3:
I have to be confortable doing the catpass landing on a rail
It's very important to understand that I'm ok doing the jump here at ground level
So when I'm up there
do not hesitate
Ok, let's see the place where I wanna do the catpass
In here
From this rail...
To that rail.. Catpass
I'll use the mattress for 1st try
Let's see
Trainning at the gym, has this benefit,
if I'm afrai to do a certain jump, I can use the mattress
to feel more confortable because I know
that if I fail, it's ok
Ok, first try is done
let's go to the second one, let's try to control the jump
3rd try
yes!
Did it a couple times, I was able to "stick" the last jump
Now it's time to do it whitout the mattress
For non-Parkour people, that still have the idea that
parkour guys are reckless and unacquainted
and have their life at risk, that's not true!
Pk jumps, specially the dangerous and risky ones
there is a lot of training behind
it's needed experience
and a lot of ground level try's
to make sure, when we're at a place like this
we're not going to miss
and so... everytime we're going to do a jump
it can seem dangerous to who's watching
but the athlete is almost 100% certain is going to make it!
Done!
See you next time...
