Hi I'm Charlotte, the LOCOGs Competition Manager for Aquatics, I'm here today to show the Great
Britain Swimming Team around the Park and let them know what we've been up to.
".... and after the Games the main focus will be on an athletics legacy so London has a
decent track and field venue to hold major events"
Well you can fully see where everything is going to be. You can see the shape of things,
how high things are going to be, how big, it's just amazing to put the pictures in your
head really.
We've got the World Championship in this year in Rome, in July time so we're training, we're
going to a training camp to Cyprus tomorrow so we've got another hectic week in front
of us and it's nice to come here just before we go and hopefully inspire us to get back
to hard work training and hopefully be here in three years time.
Definitely a fantastic foundation that will be left for years to come and everyone will
remember the London 2012 Olympics and other people from outside will get benefits as well.
It's going to be a fantastic place to live in 2012 and if I had money I'd buy a house
around her definitely.
I think it's quite special for the whole country, not just for the kind of people that want
to compete here, having a home crowd, and all just kind of coming together is something
absolutely fantastic. It's going to be just amazing, knowing that your parent and family
can come and watch you and just having the crowd there to support you. It's just going
to be amazing.
Well it's been a great day and I'm really pleased that the guys from the swimming team
have been down to have a look at the site, and I hope they're even more excited and determined
to make it here in 2012.
