THE FISHTAIL PLAIT Today we've got Sophie and we're going to
be showing you how to create the fishtail braids - perfect for festivals.
This look can be done on one or two day hair, and is great if you're in the sun and you
want a quick and easy look. Sophie has been using the Sheer Blonde Go Blonder shampoo
and conditioner, it's got these amazing lightening qualities.
Just a little tip if you do want to add the volume back into your hair after one or two
days at a festival - use the luxurious volume refresher spray. It's really simple to
use - just give a little blast 10-15cms away from your hair to really refresh the volume
that is in your hair. Put a zig zag parting through the hair just to add a little something interesting.
To begin, a little tip is to pop a hair band where you want the braid to start, what we're
going to do is slide the band off. Split the hair into two equal parts and weave little
sections through - really thin sections will emphasize the fishtail effect, but you could mix it up if you wanted
You'll be able to see all the tones of your hair coming through from the plait.
Remove the bobble from the start of the hair for a more laid back look.
Repeat on the other side. It gets easier the more you do it.
Now we've got these plaits we want to make them look a little bigger and give them more
texture, scrunching it up with sheer blonde hairspray for a modern look. The fluffy texture
looks quite cool.
Once you've mastered the braids you could even create a cool halo look, just pinning
both braids to the top of your hair - really simple and versatile.
