Community relations is, I kind of like
to think of it as we are relating
to the community we actually are the
people that actually go out representing FEMA
and so are most important chore is
to make sure that citizens are aware
of the registration process and
we will also give them a breakdown
on what’s called sequence of delivery
exactly what the steps following registration
will be, how inspections will happen
once the inspector comes out. those
kind of things Making sure they
understand the process and approximate
timing of that process
We want to provide people with
some extra information that
they might have not received the first
time we talked to them
We want to find out where their doing
in their recovery process, so I really
encourage people to take their time
when they meet somebody, listen to
their story, find out what they've experienced
as far as the FEMA process. Any questions
they might have the conversation where they
find out what kind of stumbling block
they might have come across
Bring information back in to that’s
one of our main goals today is get
information back into FEMA
for the survivors, for their concerns
their issues, any thing you find
out there. so take good notes because
we want to hear the community and
get it back to FEMA so we
can act accordingly it's really follow up to
make sure that he process is going
smoothly for them and they know where
to go if they need some help
(phone)I'll be brief on this we have
been very successful day on Saturday
with our informational blitz in the
town of Smithville. we had 20
field specialist out going door
to door, went to 357 homes and
businesses, spoke with 141 individuals
