My passion for horses goes back to when I was a kid. Any time we were in the
car and a horse went past, or someone riding, or if I saw a horse anywhere,
they always had to stop. If I was close I'd say
"lift me up, lift me up," and that's the story my parents always tell.
I used to ride when I was small, up to about 14 or 15, because it was something I was very passionate about.
I always liked animals, what they transmit, and I've always felt
very close to certain animals and horses are my favourite
When I have a lot of free time and my schedule allows,
I take a break, switch off and come here to the stud. I like to be surrounded by animals;
the foals, the horses, see what has been born recently, see what stallion we're going to cover the mares
with depending on the horse needed. It all takes a lot of work
it demands a lot of dedication and we have an excellent team of professionals.
This is Bonacho, a two year old colt, he has four gold medals and
is part of our competition team. Bonacho.
This is a three-year old colt. His name's Silencio. He's very strong, is very promising
and we hope he brings us lots of joy. He's also part of our competition team.
This one is called Foco V, and is another of the stud's stallions.
This one's called Yucatán, another two year old colt, he's going to be talked about a lot in dressage
and we're already using him as a sire, even though he's two.
This is Aldeano, and he's sired by Sevillano. He was champion of Spain and is one of the stallions at our stud.
We start with A, and all the horses born
have names starting with A. The next year with B, with C, with D
and so on.
This is Bandolero de Ramos. He's another two year old colt, he's been raised here and already carries our brand.
He bites sometimes and is a bit of a rebel. His sire is Yako, another champion of Spain.
And he'll come out... Look! Did you see that? He tried to take a bite!
Another of my favourites is Chirivía. She's from Florencio Moreno,
she's the current European champion. She's sired by Judío, a very famous horse, and her
mother is Jalea, and she's a mare to be bred here.
We transfer embryos from her every year.
And this is the jewel in the crown. Her name is Pícara, Pícara de Ramos.
She's unbeaten, has won six gold medals and is a contender for everything at SICAB.
We chose her from a stud herd of thirty fillies and colts that were loose
and I hope she gives us plenty of joy.
This has been a wish of mine since I was a kid and, thanks to football I can enjoy it, for short times but to the max.
Every time I come I recharge my batteries practically for the whole year.
