Neurofeedback & Peak Performance
I'm a financial planner and we manage about one hundred and forty million dollars
I wanted to be able to go the next level with the business
When someone comes for peak performance they're looking to excel.
to achieve a more consistent performance.
and there's an issue sometimes in that there is a barrier
that they can't really achieve their full potential.
It was myself who was holding back where I wanted to go and I knew that.
Things can happen everyday that you're not expecting
whether it's a phone call, an email, a fax, something that needs to get done
So it's very easy to loose your focus in the middle of the day
and totally derail you from what you expected to achieve in that day.
If you would look at any athlete as they try to go to the next level
they always have coaches and it could be
a strength coach. It could be a coach for strategy
and I felt at this point I needed to work on my mind
and so that's why I sought out Rae.
There are several qualities to a performance that is critical
One is being focused and attentive
The cornerstone to the program for peak performance is Neurofeedback
When I first saw Rae we chatted about what my goals were
and why I had come to see her and from there she was able to
put together her own plan as far as the training that would be appropriate for me
and we started probably a couple sessions a week
So John, eyes open, look at the screen, good John.
I think Neurofeedback is so exciting.
because it's information technology.
The person comes in and basically they've tried a lot of other ways
to improve performance
Here we have the latest in technology beginning to peek inside
and allow you to listen into your own brain and your own central nervous system
It made me much more present.
In the past when I would sit with clients
sometimes I wouldn't pay attention enough or hear what I wanted to hear sometimes
and then not be as focused to listen to the entire conversation
Where now I can be much more focused, be much more present
with them in that conversation, so that at the end of the session
I am much more versed in what their dreams and goals and concerns are
I started running as just regular training for the sports that I would be in
whether it was in high school or tennis later on
and recently in the last ten years or so decided to really get back into it
and being goal oriented it's easier for me to run if I have something to shoot for
so I decided to start running marathons, and although I've only done four
I'm always trying to improve my time
the most dramatic increase in my performance has been after doing Neurofeedback training
and so the last race that I did, I hit my personal best
which was a big goal for me
When you learn as a powerful performer
how to be at your very best
you learn how to relax with what you do
Neurofeedback taps into your ability to relax
and allows you, when you relax the central nervous system
to release any emotional issues you bring to your performance
so you can really be at your best
that is what Neurofeedback does
It helps you learn to consistently get into the state of flow
into the zone where you are able to be present with your ability
