Hi, I’m Lorie Marrero and today’s Clutter Video Tip is about paper sacks, they are a
great tool for organizing. They’re one of the best temporary containers that you can
find. First of all, they’re free, secondly, they stand up on their own, they’re very
sturdy, and you won’t miss them if you give them away, [POP] and they also are easy to
label with a permanent marker. You can also fold them up really flat, so when you’re
ready to do a project, you don’t have a lot of extra boxes and things that are bulky
to store with your organizing tools. So here are some of the ways that I use them in my
organizing projects. First, I put them in my donation station, so when I have a lot
of things that are ready to be donated [POP], I collect them in these paper sacks, and then
when they’re full, I take them to Goodwill. If you have other things while you’re organizing
that you want to give away, you can maybe give them to your sister or your mother, you
can write that person’s name directly on the bag and fill that up with the items that
you want to give to them. Sometimes when you’re doing an organizing project, we recommend
that you a have what we call an "Elsewhere Box" [POP] or an "Elsewhere Bag", so this
is a great use for that as well. You can write the name of the area of the house that you
want to put items into, so kitchen or bathroom, or whatever the area is that you’re not
currently working in so that you won’t get distracted during your project by going and
taking those items to their regular homes. And lastly, you might want to use paper sacks
for the overflow for recycling and shredding when you’re doing a really large home office
project [POP]. Sometimes your regular trashcan just isn’t enough. So do you need help with
your organizing projects? We have a team of experts available to help you seven days a
week in our online program for about the price of a pizza. You can find out more at clutterdiet.com/learnmore.
See you next time, and may you always be happy and grateful for having more than enough.
