hello everyone, for those of you who don't know my name is Pete Graves, otherwise known as PeteyG
I play guitar in a band called Red Seas Fire, we're sort of a progressive metal
outfit, and when i'm not doing that I also play and write music for a grind
project called cage which is grind songs based around the films of Nicolas Cage
I'm making this video today to demo a couple of new pieces of gear which I
acquired recently, namely a custom Legend
model guitar by the company Mayones Guitars
and also a custom 6x12 speaker cabinet for that guitar made by
Zilla Cabs. Specs-wise the guitar is loaded with Bare Knuckle Pickups
specifically a Black Hawk humbucker in the bridge and two Sinner singlecoils
in the middle and neck positions, the guitar's an alder body with an ash top
and the paint finish is an interesting paint job that they do that's usually
known as the gothic finish
however i don't think that uh... this guitar really suits that name so I've
named his guitar "The Antigoth Legend" for fun.
The speaker cabinet is loaded with uh... six speakers, the two at the top being
Vintage 30's and the four the bottom being Creambacks, all by the
company Celestion. I know colour-wise that this uh... this combination is a little
brash in a little bright that hell I just like things that are blue and
orange.
So refreshing!
In no way do I nor anyone I know have any affiliation with the drinks company Irn Bru.
Anyway enough of the talking and let's get onto some music. I'm recording this
using my Axe FX Ultra
minus the
cabinet and microphone simulation going into my VHT 2-50-2 poweramp and then
straight into the cab and then as you can see it's mic'd up with two SM57's
one on the Vintage 30 at the top and one on a Creamback these
are blended
thirty three percent Vintage 30's sixty six roughly percent Creamback to
mirror how the cab actually sounds in real life
anyway here we go.
