Hello everyone!
After finishing up the Legion Fall Campaign, heroes of Azeroth are rewarded with a unique
class mount.
For the demon hunters it’s an Illidari enforcer who lets us know that Matron Mother Malevolence
has requested an audience with us back at the Fel Hammer.
The prison world of Mardum has its fair share of secrets, one of which they found not too
long after we took control of the Fel Hammer.
It’s a breeding ground of sorts, festering with fel bats.
They’ve been able to capture the pups and train them for our efforts against the Legion,
but the other day they caught an even greater prize, something worthy of our position as
slayer.
“Illidari.
Bring out the beast!
A few days ago, this fel bat attacked our camp.
It’s a rare treat to capture a mature specimen, so I insisted it be restrained rather than
destroyed.
Taming such a willful beast requires a show of dominance.
That is, of course, my specialty...but in this case, I suggest simply pummeling it into
submission.
”
Lixahl the Felwing Matriarch is presented before us and our job is to show our dominance.
We fight with her for a bit as she casts Fel Breath and Corrosive maw, but the beast is
clever, is able to stun us and fly away.
“Quickly, bind the creature!”
“My apologies, Slayer, it seems to have escaped.
Ah, but see here?
A trail of blood.
Giggle.
How convenient!”
“Tracking it should be simple, thanks to your demon sight.
But if it’s run off to the breeding grounds, I fear you may have some trouble bringing
it back.
Bats can be such...spirited creatures.”
We have our demon sight to track the trail of blood or of course we could just follow
the marker on the mini map.
It seems like this beasty is not subdued that easily as we once again engage her, fight
for a bit, until she dazes and silences us and flies away.
She puts up quite a fierce fight, but there’s no escape.
Her wounds give her position away, but she will make a worthy mount.
All we need to do is leap onto her back and pummel her into submission.
We are the pack leader and we have to show some dominance.
After feeling our fists for a bit, Lixahl finally sees reason and obeys our commands.
We fly her back to where it all started, to have her officially turned into our mount.
“I see you’ve tamed the beast, Slayer.
Congratulations are in order, my dear!
Allow us to make the creature presentable so that it may be conferred to you at the
Fel Hammer.
Speak with Yrdris and he’ll see you back to the ship.”
Cinematic: Hello beastie, do you remember me?
ROAR.
Oeeee special sight, ermagerd is that daddy?
I think that’s daddy.
Don’t touch me daddy ow please noooo.
Fine I’ll be your mount.
They never would have thought that an adult fel bat could be tamed, but our efforts seemed
to have proven otherwise.
This is a promising revelation for them.
Now demon hunters do not have a color variation for their mount, but they can obtain a very
special ally to accompany them on their adventures.
Demon hunter pepe can be bought after filling up one of your artifacts and tag along with
you, gazing into the souls of our enemies as it perched upon our head.
The mount itself walks a bit derpy, but it does fit the felbat walk and all in all, the
quest kinda falls in the same category as the shaman one...It’s a bit short and nothing
major happens, but hey....at least you get a new variation of pepe...
That’s really all I can say about this questline so as always, thank you very much for watching
everyone!
