[shotgun shot]
Folks, ever wonder why
it takes so many shells
to harvest a dove?
That's because we don't get out
and practice enough.
Take the opportunity to visit
a sporting clays field
and hone those skills
in the off-season.
Go hunting in the season
when you need to but
go practice in the season
when you don't think you need to.
One of the things you always
want to remember,
keep that muzzle pointed
in a safe direction,
identify your target,
what's in front of and
what's behind it.
And always keep your finger
off the trigger
until you're actually ready to shoot.
You can't ever be too safe.
Ariel, shoot, Ariel!
Swinging on game
is one of the worst things that
happens during hunting season
because that's how accidents occur.
We'll have a bird coming down
like this
and they'll swing on it and
all of a sudden there's your
hunting partner.
[shotgun shot]
Always look at your zones of fire.
Make sure that you know where
your partners are,
make sure you know where
the birds are going to be coming from
and situate yourself so that
all your shots are always
in a safe direction.
[shotgun shots]
Don't forget, wear blaze orange
just to let your partners know
where you're at.
And folks, you want to remember,
take out what you took in.
Pick up your shells,
pick up your trash,
and leave the place a whole lot
prettier than it was
when you got there.
Alright gentlemen, there's one bird.
You can't ever be too safe.
So get out there, hone those skills,
enjoy the season, folks.
