Now most performers when they start performing, they're young and stupid. We're young and
stupid. We think we're invincible. We can take anything. You could put anything into
my body and it'll still, it'll kill, it'll kill me, it'll still keep functioning normally
right? Well, sadly, that is not the case. I once heard a story of some friends of mine
who made a commitment that they were only going to eat fish sandwiches from a fast food
restaurant at every meal. They kept going around the country and they're eating fish
sandwiches, fish sandwiches that are those fried things that are really poor quality
of fish and you know they've got the bun and some sort of sauce or cheesy lettuce on them
and stuff. Man, by the end of the third day they were all so sick that they couldn't handle
their performances right. It's important to eat good food. If you can get some home cooking.
Get some people to make this food. Make sure you're eating salads and stuff. Whenever we
stop and eat at restaurants, me and my guitarist, we make sure that we don't stop at some fast
food place if we can at all avoid it because we know that we have to eat some sort of a
good meal in order to restore the energy that we're putting out in our body. I found that
when I started performing, I actually went on tour with the band, there was nothing I
could do to keep on the weight because of all the energy that I was expending. You've
got to get energy back into your body. Eat fresh fruit. Eat fresh vegetables. A really
good way to do that is go to a grocery store and just buy the stuff that you need to make
sandwiches or buy the stuff that you need to make breakfast or something like that.
You'll find that your body will feel a lot better, and you know what, it'll save you
a lot of money.
