Hi. I'm Aimee Francois. I'm the program director for the diagnostic medical sonography program at
Tulsa Community College. Today we're out our Owasso campus to tour our lab.
Welcome to our lab. We have a large state of the art lab here in Owasso
that functions similar to how any clinical set up would work. We have real ultrasound machines. We
have teachers who work one-on-one with our students. Our students learn true
scan skills that would be used in any facility. Our students are dedicated to
learning abdominal normal and abnormal pathology. OB-GYN normal and abnormal
anatomy. Vascular normal and abnormal scanning and then special procedures
since we also work closely with physicians with special procedures our
students need to know the sterile techniques that are important to our
profession. We also have two simulators here that we're very proud of. The first
simulator is dedicated for carotid ultrasound we have normal and
pathologies on the simulator. The bulk majority of our simulation is done on
this machine which has normal and pathologies for abdominal OB-GYN and
breast ultrasound scanning. This is our classroom which is a state of the art
technology room with an interactive whiteboard and wireless internet.
Thank you for visiting with us today for more information on the diagnostic medical
