>> Court: I’m here at the Electric Bike Shop in Sacramento, California with the owner
Mike and he's going to show us his two different conversion kits here. So he got really unique
set of bikes here. Why don't we start off with it?
>> Mike: The Northrock utilizes a direct drive, Aeotema kit.
>> Court: Okay.
>> Mike: Actually, I have now 48-volt, a 15-amp power battery on it.
>> Court: Wow.
>> Mike: And then my Cannondale was I used to raise quite a few years ago, a Super V
1000 which I can't anymore because of my knees. I've installed a Pegasus-geared kit. It's
a [centralist] kit with a 36-volt 10-amp power lithium ion battery on it as well.
>> Court: Okay. So this Pegasus kit over her and then Aeotema?
>> Mike: Aeotema, that's correct. It used to be [marketed, if you will, in the] sports
that went out of business.
>> Court: either of these two available anymore or…?
>> Mike: OH, yeah, both of them are. And I get the Pegasus kit from my contact in China.
>> Court: Interesting.
>> Mike: It's a great kit. Again, it's centralist. It is a geared kit. The kit itself retails
at 400 bucks. I get the battery for $550 and charges $100 bucks for the installation.
>> Court: So these are pretty high end especially this one over here. I mean, you said that…
>> Mike: This one is, yeah.
>> Court: Like gearless.
>> Mike: That's a direct drive motor.
>> Court: Okay.
>> Mike: And it's very powerful.
>> Court: Does it have a generative braking and twist throttle pedal assist?
>> Mike: No.
>> Court: What are the features?
>> Mike: These are basically both thumb throttles on both of these.
>> Court: Thumb throttles, okay. Here, I'm going to kind of zoom over. Yeah, I can see
this. So there's the Pegasus thumb throttle and here, and it's Aeotema,
>> Mike: Aeotema, A-E-O-T-E-M-A, I believe it's spelled.
>> Court: A-E-O-T-E-M-A.
>> Mike: Yeah.
>> Court: Wow. That's…
>> Mike: Aeotema.
>> Court: That's unique and very, very cool. So this is new. You can kind of take any bike
you've got and turn it into an electric bike and in this case, you've got full suspension.
I'm a big fan of that, so.
>> Mike: Right.
>> Court: Yeah. Thank you. That's very cool.
>> Mike: No problem. Thank you.
