How to remove Antimalware virus.
What is Antimalware?
In one word, Antimalware is a scam. It hijacks all browsers to display fake security
warnings when visiting normal websites. It exaggerates and makes false claims about
the security status of your computer then promises to solve these bogus problems
only if you pay them. In any case, Do not give this program your
credit card number or other sensitive information. Just Ignore all the fake scan results and
security warnings. To protect itself from anti-virus programs
and to make you think your computer is seriously infected,
Antimalware will also terminate any application you try to run on your computer.
It does not allow you to open any of your normal programs.
So, now here is the step by step removal of Antimalware:
Step #1: Kill "Antimalware" Processes, to stop it from interfering with our removal
procedure. Step #2: Delete "Antimalware" malicious Registry
Entries. Step #3: Delete "Antimalware" Proxy entries,
to access the Internet again. Step #4: Delete "Antimalware" Files.
Step #5: Check for any "Antimalware" leftovers.
Step #1: Kill "Antimalware" Processes
In order to stop this nasty program from interfering with our removal procedure, we need to end
and kill its processes. For this, we will use a FREE powerful utility
called RogueKiller. Here is the download link, please write it
down: http://www.sur-la-toile.com/RogueKiller/RogueKiller.exe
1. now open your browser. 2. type the download link in the address bar.
3. hit ENTER
The virus will block us from the downloading. So we will temporarly disable its proxy server
to access the internet for a short while.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. Type in the Run dialog box: "inetcpl.cpl" 6. Then click OK.
The internet options window will appear.
7. Click the "Connections" tab, and then click "LAN settings".
8. Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box.
Now and as FAST as you can and before it reactivates its proxy server: go download RogueKiller.
hit refresh for the download link you already entered.
Save it as "winlogon.exe" so the virus will not block it.
12. Finally, run RogueKiller. It will instantly kill any malicious processes.
Relax, that was the hard part :)
Step #2: Delete "Antimalware" malicious Registry Entries.
Always in RogueKiller:
1. Click Scan 2. When the scan is finished, Click on the
Registry tab, then click on the Delete button.
Step #3: Delete "Antimalware" Proxy entries, to access the Internet again.
Still in RogueKiller:
1. Click on the Host tab, then click "Host RAZ"
2. Click on the Proxy tab, then click "Proxy RAZ"
Your internet access and browser should be back to normal.
Don't Reboot your computer just yet.
Step #4: Delete "Antimalware" Files.
For this we will use Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes is simply the best known FREE
malware removal tools online.
You can download Malwarebytes from: http://goo.gl/gwqtoX
Just Follow the easy setup process. Do not make any changes to the default settings
When the setup is finished, make sure you leave both the Update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware checked.
1. On the Scanner tab,select Quick scan and then click on the Scan.
2. When the scan is finished a message box will appear, click OK to continue.
Then the screen results will show the various malware infections including the winlogon.exe
we renamed.
3. Click on the Remove Selected button. 4. After Malwarebytes has finished the removal
process, you will get a message stating that you need to reboot your computer.
Just Do so, and restart your computer
Step #5: Check for any "Antimalware" leftovers.
To make sure that your computer is now completely free from any malware, do another a Malwarebytes
FULL scan.
Your computer should now be free of the Antimalware virus.
