Welcome to another SCDTV review for Gunfire
today we're going to talk a little about Magpul's latest baby - PDR C
[Irek] Why "C" ? I don't know "kurtz"? (like in G36C)
as you can see it's a bullpup airsoft replica
so the magazine is behind the trigger
[Irek] how do you say "bullpup" in Polish?
I have no idea but Irek will clarify
[Polish technical jabber]
[Dudek has no intention to use propper Polish terminology ;) ]
as you can see the aeg is very short
but has decent weight
I was quite surprised when I first got my hands on it
that it's small and cheap...well, it's not cheap for sure
but small and light
[Irek] what it's made from? no idea
it looks like a high quality polymer
if you have ever dealt with Magpul's midcaps
I believe it's the same very durable material
it doesn't shine and feels great
there are some metal parts like screws and some other little pieces
and the top rail in picantinny standard
[Irek] but it's plastic. Really?!...yeah, your right
I have no idea what's metal...gearbox shell is for sure
flash hider is metal
it's sand
yeah, it's heavy
the thread is clockwise or counterclockwise :)
you demand too much from me :p
we had no problems installing a M4 type flash hider like Noveske, etc
it looked really nice
as far as the aeg is concerned we could let Brian do the talking
but since Brian is English ( and this review is Polish) we'll have to do the talking
close up
PDR-C is built in a similar to P90 setup
but with a magazine on the correct side
the aeg is well assembled using top-notch materials
the gun feels tough and far from being a low ebb
the aeg has PTS and Magpul's trademarks
one would like to say that the trademarks are from the real steel one
but there is none, yet
all controls are doubled ( so it's perfect for both, left and right hand shooters)
along with the aeg we get a short Pmag
most AR15 style magazines should fit and feed
the flash hider is metal and looks badass
buttplate has a Magpul logo
the top rail can be easily used to aim
the hop up chamber is situated at the end of the rail
the battery compartment is in the pistol grip
but it's quite small
shooting an instrument
let's chrono this strange thing
the battery is GFC NiMh 9.6V
Pmag with 0.20 bbs
shooting paper
the accuracy test was conducted in garden environment at 15 metres
here's what we got using single fire
most bbs hit this area
if Jabu were a target, he would get hit in his stomach
9, 10..sometimes 8
very nice accuracy
later on we checked the auto fire
there was a light wind from the right side
and most bbs hit this area
first two or three shots hit here
but then Adi aimed and we got the results you see
accuracy at 15 metres is perfect for CQB
but at 30 metres in forest the result will be different, worse
but it was not designed to be used in forest
forest shooting
nice, really nice
[Irek] What can you say about the PDR?
the battery compartment is a ***
as we didn't have a battery that would fit inside
sometimes normal AR15 magazines do not fit and feed
but there are no problems with Pmags and Emags
the inner barrel is quite long as for this short construction
it's very handy
I used it in a forest
and I have to admit that the forest is not the proper environment for PDR
but it shot pretty well and the range was decent
30 metres, maybe 40
you have to learn how to use the two-stage trigger
