Life is moving too fast and people usually eat out. It’s difficult for this king of food to have enough sources of fiber and a limited fiber intake leads to constipation. Uncontrolled constipation may increase the risk of developing colon cancer.
My suggestion is that you try to leave home everyday with at least two pieces of fruit so that sometime during the day you may have a fiber-rich snack. Some of the choices are fruits like apples, peaches or some fiber rich whole-wheat crackers.
Fiber helps to normalize the intestinal transit, reduces appetite and helps in reducing food intake, maintains the colon clean and controls cholesterol.
Try to eat fruits and vegetables everyday; together with fruits, you should also increase your water intake to prevent undesirable effects.
