Cleaning the blinds can be very easy. Start by dusting, you can use the dusting attachment
on your vacuum cleaner and that will help suck all the vacuum out, I mean suck all the
dust out. Go on each side by vacuuming, turn the blinds around, leave them slightly open
so that you can get all the way inside each of the blinds and vacuum on the other side.
If you do not have a vacuum attachment like this you can always use a damp a dry cloth
and dust it that way. You can also use a static cling duster, you wouldn’t want to use a
feather duster because all it will do is just make the dust come off and go right back on.
Sometimes spots get on blinds and you can just use a damp cloth and multi-purpose cleaner
to get all the spots off the blinds. If they become really dirty you can take the blinds
off and put them in the bathtub with a little bit of dishwashing detergent and rub on each
side to get all the nastiness off and lay them on a towel to dry. Once they are dry
you want to hang them back up. For wood blinds you can use the vacuum cleaner and the dry
cloth of course. You wouldn’t want to use a wet cloth because the finish is not correct
on them to use a wet cloth it would make them warp. But you can use a furniture polish or
lemon oil to make them look a little bit shinier.
