Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. So in this clip I'm going to show you how
to make a pattern for your stuff pin cushion doll. Now the basic shapes for it is it's
a circular body, an oblong shaped arm but you can also use this for the legs and then
a circular shaped head. How you create these patterns is really easy you basically just
draw out a circle and you want a smaller head and a larger body. So you're just going to
draw out kind of an oval shape circle for the head and then for the body. You can make
this any size that you want if you want to have a really big doll or a tiny doll it's
personal preference, it's totally up to you. Then the basic arm shape is just a long kind
of oval tear drop shape and what you do once you cut these out we're going to do this little
lip at the top. It's just going to make it easier to sew the two pieces together because
you'll actually be constructing the pieces like that. So you cut your pieces out (cutting)
then when you get to the very bottom you're basically just going to cut out almost like
a little bit sticking out, like a crescent baked moon. Then you'll do the same thing
for the body (just cut it out) if you want this to be your really fat kind of doll just
go ahead and make it a lot bigger. Then you'll be doing the same thing you just want to cut
out kind of like a little bit sort of look to it, that's just going to make it easier
when you sew it together. For the arm you can just leave the arm as is as a little tear
drop, if you want to make the arms smaller and the legs longer again it's totally up
to you personal preference, I just like like to use one pattern it just makes it so much
easier. So after you made your easy pattern pieces I'm going to show you how to cut them
out.
