Hi I'm Doug. I work with twenty great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods,
and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. We've chosen to make the
tailpipes out of two and a half inch material instead of three inch because it's easier
to work with, and it's still no fun to work with. So he's got the double bend there trying
to guess a good angle for it, and he'll have to make an adapter to get in to the rear of
the muffler. Dave has just changed shoes in the bend there, one that allows for a sharper
bend without damaging the adjacent bend, it's a shorter shoe. And this is all just, I've
probably said it before but it's all just experience and technique. Just a free handedness,
there's no way to mock it up with something soft and then come and make it out of pipe.
You just have to try to waste as little pipe as possible, and estimate everything as cleanly
as you can to start with.
