A doctor who tried to save a pregnant woman's life says
he believes a number of factors contributed to her death.
While speaking at a coroner's inquest in Hamilton,
Dr Aiden O'Donnell says his team at Waikato Hospital
were expecting to treat 20-year-old Casey Nathan
for a post-partum haemorrhage and started a blood transfusion,
but they soon realised they were dealing with multiple problems.
Casey Nathan died in May 2012
after suffering serious complications during child-birth.
Her baby boy died two days later.
