And here's something you should try if you haven't already. It's called Xiao Long
Bao
which in chinese literally means steaming basket dumplings.
This are chinese dumplings with pork and soup inside. Now the soup literally, burst
into your mouth so be careful,
they come out steaming hot.
They've usually eaten with a bit of young ginger and vinegar.
Now, this place has other types of bao as well.
There is, this one which is a vegetable mixed bao, siew mai which is uh... dumplings with pork and prawn,
and my favorite which is the desert bao or sweet red bean paste bao.
Now this delicate vegetable dish is called dou miao
which are peace shoots sauted, lightly in garlic.
They're very few vegetables dishes I would die for, this is one of them.
Usually there is a ten to fifteen minute wait outside so just get a queue number.
They'll give you a menu so you can pick you dishes while you wait and once you
get inside, the food comes out pretty quickly.
Now there are few Din Tai Fung around the place in Singapore but
my favorite is in Paragon, in the basement, Paragon is right in the
center of Orchard Road.
If you've been Din Tai Fung, do let us know what you thought of it.
If you have your own favorite place for Xiao Long Bao, do let us know so we can
